ASTRA Asigurari opens its Repair Scheduling Office
Astra Asigurari, the leader of the Romanian insurance market, is releasing its Repair Scheduling Office together with the partner service units. The selection of the partner service units is performed nationally, and each service unit is subject to technical assessment prior to entering this program. The opening of the Repair Scheduling Office concerns the improvement of the damage file instrumentation process on the insurer - service relation, from the opening of the files to the finalization of the vehicle repair work. Moreover, by opening the Repair Scheduling Office, an efficient monitoring of the manner of performing the collaboration with the partner service units will be carried out, and frauds and attempted frauds will be reduced.
Radu Mustatea, President of the Astra Asigurari Directorate: “The quality of services and client satisfaction both during the sale and the post-sale service will make the difference between insurers. The improvement of services on all types of damages remains our priority aim. The client must have access to all data on the repair of its vehicle and it is important for access to be carried out in real time.”
The Astra Asigurari clients will be scheduled for the repair of their vehicles with the partner service units, via an information platform of the Repair Scheduling Office. Therefore, the client will be provided with actual data of the start and end date of the repair. Basically, clients can choose the service units according to the area of interest or the area where they live and they can check the performance of the vehicle repair and the status of their vehicle by the web cameras mounted on site. Each client’s degree of satisfaction will be assessed at the end of each settled damage.
Moreover, clients who have opened damage files in order to obtain compensation within the meaning of the policies issued by Astra Asigurari will receive free and unlimited consultancy services on the manner of repairing the damaged vehicle.

Therefore, Repair Scheduling Offices will not only be opened in the Capital, but also in the largest cities in the country, where we already hold damage centers. During the Repair Scheduling Office testing period, the coverage degree has exceeded 60%, indicating our clients’ interest for this service offer.”

Financial results for January - December 2010:
• Increase of the net accounting profit by 246% compared to 2009, from lei 6,206,843 to lei 21,496,140;
• Increase of the subscribed gross premiums volume by 37%, up to lei 1,110,625,808
The company has entered the Hungarian market in the fall of 2010, opening the ASTRA BIZTOSITO branch in Budapest, where it will begin by subscribing on the following segments: vehicle liability insurance, property and Casco. Moreover, the company has adapted the online sales portal www.astraonline.ro to the neighboring market, creating www.astraonline.hu.
