Who can be insured?
- One of the parents – main insured;
- The spouse thereof – adult dependent insured;
- The child that is the beneficiary of the policy - child dependent insured.
How many years can I be insured for and for what amounts?
- Minimum 7 years - maximum until the child turns 25;
- The insured amount is established by the insurance contracting party and it is directly proportional with the paid premium.
Can the insured amount be increased during the contract?
During the contract development, the contracting party is entitled to increase the insured amount with a percentage that is equal to or greater than the inflation and it can also request the attachment of additional coverages.
How does your child receive the money?
The benefit may be received as a single payment (settlement) or distributed (annual annuities) for a term of 4 to 6 years.
- The single beneficiary is the child;
- Financial security for the child on the contract maturity date;
- The coverage of study costs (study annuity for a term of 4 to 6 years);
- Marriage annuity;
- Guaranteeing an amount for the first business, the first apartment, the first car;
- The option of additional protection for the entire family (surgery, hospitalization, fractures, burns, serious disorders, etc.);
- ASTRA automatically takes over the payment of the insurance premiums in case of the insured parent’s death and it is bound to pay the benefit on the contract maturity date to the beneficiary child, at the end of the contractual term;
- Optionally, by the attachment of the additional provision on the insurance premium payment exemption, ASTRA shall undertake the payment of insurance premiums if the insured's permanent and total disability occurs;
- The policy may be concluded in RON or in EURO;
Minimum premium: RON 50/month, approximately the value of the state allowance for children.
