Civil liability insurance of ship repairers
The ASTRA company insures the civil liability of sea and interior navigation ship repairers, occurring during the performance of repairs.
With this type of insurance, the ASTRA company will compensate the Insured if, as a repairer, it becomes liable for: losses or damages to the ships or vessels, equipment and plants under the care, custody or control of the Insured, in order to perform repairs and during such actions; losses and damages of the goods or of other items found on or unloaded from the ships and vessels under the care, custody or control of the Insured; extracting and removing the wreck and losses or damages caused to the property of a third party during the performance of repair works.
