Civil liability insurance of port authorities

The policy covers the civil liability risk of port authorities, granting money compensations to the Insured for losses and damages to the insured ships, in the same currency as that in which the insurance premiums were paid.

Within the meaning of this insurance, the ASTRA company will compensate the Insured if, as port authority and/or owner and/or operator if it becomes liable for: losses or damages of the ships and/or of the vessels, including the impossibility to use them, the equipment, goods, ships and all other interests related to them when they are under the custody or possession of the Insured; losses of human lives and/or bodily injuries and/or work accidents caused to the goods and/or equipment of third parties; the costs and expenses incurred by the removal of the wreck.
