Hull insurance under construction

The ASTRA company provides optional insurance for sea and interior water ships while under construction.

This product provides the insurance of the hull, of the machines, plants and equipment of the hull under construction on the site or in other locations of the contractor, as well as of the sub-sets, plants, equipment, etc. mounted in the ship by sub-contractors. The insurance is also valid during the transit of the ship plants, equipment, sub-sets, etc. from/to the locations located within the port/place where the cotractor or sub-contractors perform their activity.

This type of insurance covers: losses and damages registered on the ship or sub-sets, on equipment or components, caused by fire, explosion, latent defects, engineering errors, collision, etc.; costs generated by the ship’s unsuccessful water launching; expenses consisting of the ship’s contribution to the joint damage; ship salvage measures; the Insured’s liability resulting from third party collisions.
