  Astra Asigurari supports the ROMars mission

  A team of six Romanian researchers is participating in a “Martian” mission for the first time. However, they will not reach the Red Planet, but a simulated habitat: the Mars Desert Research Station in the Colorado Plateau, USA. The mission is a simulation; however, this is by no means a game. For two weeks, members of the ROMars crew will carry on as though they were on the Red Planet. The ROMars mission is supported by Astra Asigurari, as Main Partner.

  Supporting Romanian innovation and performance in research

  Astra Asigurări and the Romanian Association for Cosmonautics and Aeronautics (ARCA) have signed a partnership to support Mission 4 - the launching of the Helen 2 rocket ship, the first Romanian space rocket, participating in the international astronautics competition Google Lunar X Prize.

  With this partnership, ASTRA Asigurări sponsors the insurance of the ships and of the crews participating in the launching operations that will take place on the Black Sea.

  ASTRA Asigurări thus re-states its support for Romanian innovation and performance in research after ASTRA Asigurări and ARCA have collaborated on the Mission 3 launching test in 2009.
