The procedure to be followed in order to access the medical services covered by the ASTRAMEDICA policy

In order to make your access possible to the medical services stipulated in the ASTRAMEDICA insurance contract, we would like to specify the following:

For medical services provided by the medical suppliers accepted by ASTRA:

  • All the medical services mentioned in the Insurance conditions shall be scheduled exclusively by the UNIQMED medical call-center and they shall be performed in the network of medical service suppliers accepted by Astra.
  • The UNIQMED medical call-center can be called at the following telephone numbers: 0800.0800.55
  • Medical services that were not appointed by UNIQMED are not compensated by the Insurer.
  • If you cannot be present on the date and at the time established for the provision of the medical service, according to the appointment made by the UNIQMED service, please cancel the respective appointment at least 6 hours in advance and ask the UNIQMED staff to perform a re-appointment.
  • Payments for the provided medical services shall be carried out by Astra directly to the accepted medical service suppliers
  • Co-payments afferent to the specified medical services shall be incurred by the insured on the provision of the medical service
  • On accessing the Uniqmed service, please communicate your identification data to your doctor clearly and accurately:
    • last name and first name,
    • number of the insured card
    • the insurance product you benefit from (registered on the insured card)
    • the telephone number where you can be contacted, as well as details on your state of health, in order to allow the doctor to make your appointment with the most adequate medical service.
    • any medical service to be provided within the meaning of the insurance contract by the UNIQMED service shall be carried out after the Insured’s identification, which is why you must have your ID and your insurance card on you
  • The “UNIQMED” doctor is the person who shall deal with:
    • guidance in case of health medical issues
    • the performance of all appointments (analyses, medical procedures, consults, etc.) with the Astra Uniqa partner medical centers, according to the symptoms and disorders that were identified.
    • the confirmation of appointments in terms of the date, time, the doctor and the medical institution where your appointment was made.
